IBM Power Server Model

An IBM Power Server model identifies a specific class of IBM Power hardware, but the actual buying fit depends on configuration and feature codes.

IBM Power Server model searches are used by buyers comparing current Power 11, Power 10, refurbished Power 9, and older IBM Power hardware. The model name is useful, but it does not fully describe the system. Processor activations, memory, storage, adapters, tape support, power supplies, firmware, operating system compatibility, and maintenance coverage all affect whether the model fits an IBM i, AIX, or Linux workload.
