Fortra (formerly HelpSystems) is a long-established IBM i ISV whose Robot product line handles job scheduling and automation, and whose PowerTech line handles IBM i security compliance and auditing.
Fortra, formerly known as HelpSystems, is one of the longest-standing third-party software vendors in the IBM i ecosystem. Its Robot product line automates job scheduling, output management, and routine operational tasks that would otherwise require manual intervention on the IBM i console. Its separate PowerTech line focuses on IBM i security: compliance auditing, exit point monitoring, and access control for shops that need to demonstrate security posture to auditors or regulators. The two product lines are frequently deployed together, automation and security compliance, since both address operational risk on systems that are often decades old but still running critical workloads.
